East Jefferson After Hours (EJAH) in Metairie opened in March 2006 under the direction of Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich. The center specializes in high-quality, accessible medical treatment for a variety of illness and injuries. For those patients who cannot wait for their primary care physician, but do not require ER service, EJAH in Metairie is an excellent option, offering considerable savings of both time and money. The extended hours and broad scope of services provided by EJAH have made it a valuable resource to patients as well as to local physicians. Urgent care patients are always referred to their Primary Care Physician for any necessary follow-up. With an impressive track record of providing quality care, EJAH and its affiliates became the first free-standing Urgent Care Centers in Louisiana to be accredited by The Joint Commission in 2009.
